Thank you for your question. Believe it or not vomiting can possibly be caused by an infection in another part of the body. Strep Throat, Urinary Tract Infections and even Pneumonia can be some potential culprits. I know with strep throat my son never even complained until he got the high fever. I never even knew he had it. There could be an infection possibly taking place in your child.
There are a few stomach viruses going around and the symptoms could be vomiting only. With viruses you tend to see relief within 12-24 hours. How long has your 3 year old been vomiting? Is your child having trouble urinating?

3 yr old vomitting periodically by: Anonymous
My 3 year old grandson has been vomiting on and off for 5 days. The first day he vomited 3 times. The next day not at all and was playful and laughing. He has never had a fever and doesn't complain about anything hurting. Then the next day he vomited one time then was fine and playful. He is eating a little and drinking a lot. I am very worried but I know if I take him to the doctor they will tell me its a virus!!!
He is laughing and playing one day and the next he is crabby and vomiting. Need advise please!!
